Political Strategy
Forwarding this in case it got buried. I know your inbox is a war zone.

I've written a lot of these emails. This one's about me.
Ten years in politics. One ask. It'll take less time than reading your other 47 unread fundraising emails.
[FIRST NAME|Friend], I'll be quick.
I spent a decade in political work — running volunteers on a presidential campaign, writing and optimizing email programs for progressive clients, designing a national messaging study that rebuilt an advocacy group's voice — before bringing all of it to political and public-sector advertising. I know how to get someone to open, read, and act. Including you, right now.
Here's what you'd actually be getting:
I've run the programs. At Clarify Agency I owned email strategy, copy and in-flight optimization for multiple progressive clients at once — built in NGP VAN, EveryAction and ActionKit, down to the fundraising asks, dollar handles and landing pages. (So yes, I have opinions about your subject lines.)
I've done the research. At Hacked Off in London, I designed and fielded a nationwide messaging study — methodology, question logic and focus groups across thousands of UK respondents — then used it to direct a complete rebrand of the organization's digital voice and visual identity.
I've organized. On Hillary for America I went from intern to organizer to Regional Get Out the Vote Director for Northwest Iowa in the final month. Before that: campaign and legislative internships with Senator Elizabeth Warren, Congressman Richard Neal, Simon Hughes MP and Sarah Jones MP.
I've taken it to the big screen. In ad tech I directed digital content strategy and multi-screen user flows for political and institutional work, including Harris for President, plus public-sector campaigns at the state and county level.
And I write about it. The Political Text Message Apocalypse Is Here (2026) and In 2024's Political Ad Climate, CTV Is the Platform to Watch (2024).
I've vetted the robots. For a growth-stage AI startup, I live-tested a text-message AI assistant for conference lead capture. I audited exactly which account permissions it gets (the default setup asks for far more than it needs), flagged a documented prompt-injection risk, read the fine print, and wrote a deployment spec that lets the AI draft while people do the sending.
We all do better when we all do better. Paul Wellstone said it first; I've just put it in a lot of emails.
Thank you for everything you do,
Elle
P.S. If you skipped straight here — everyone does, I've seen the heatmaps — here's the whole thing in one line: a decade of political work, now pointed at whatever you're trying to win next. Download the Political Strategy resume →
P.P.S. This is a real inbox. I will write back.
